Combat Style: Lume is best at Mid to Long Range combat.
-Pre War-
Lume mainly used his Ribbon abilities and never used his elemental capabilities in battle much as they were too unpredictable. He did however begin to use them in certain circumstances such as the first strike in a preemptive battle.
-Ranger War-
Lume's powers were completely unlocked by the Star Liberator and things that once seemed impossible became reality. Not only could he break through the laws of physics with his main ribbon, he was causing massive storms and forcing other ranger's stars to stir causing those rangers to go into a berserk-like state attacking everyone around them if they weren't strong enough to overcome the urge.
-Aftermath-
Lume learns a great deal about his own powers as well as the powers of the Liberator that remains awake inside him. He becomes proficient with his Elemental prowess, is able to perform some of his Fabric manipulation outside of him being transformed and while he refuses to do so, he understands the principles of how to awaken the stars within rangers, something that COULD be useful to the right ranger in unlocking great power so long as they are strong enough to overcome their star's personae.
-Omega-
Lume has unlocked the potential of his star and is able to hold the Star Collector off at a stalemate by harmonizing with the Star Liberator inside.
-Whispers-
Lume has compartmentalized his power. The Star Liberator has begun to slumber again. Lume can still access the Liberator's power but only if he sheds the restraints he put on himself.
-Catching Stars-
Lume is an efficient fighter able to control many ribbons at once, the potential of the sky and can fly on his own power.
Combat Specials:
Ribbon Shower~ A high speed barrage area of effect attack. He showers the enemy with a rain of small, sharp, Ribbon Blades.
Luminaire~ A stunning area of effect attack. He creates a lightning rod out of a ribbon and calls down lightning. The lightning travels down the Ribbon to the ground and creates a shock wave when it hits.
Tempest/Clarity~ A field altering ability. The sky clouds and rain begins to fall, winds whip up and lightning flashes to create a hostile environment. He can also clear the sky.
Shattered Skies~ A massive area of effect attack. After Tempest has been used to call in a storm he sends out a bunch of ribbons that swirl and pull down a massive storm funnel that sweeps across the landscape.
Sail~ A self effecting ability. Able to lift himself off the ground using minimal winds to levitate and even fly at high speeds.
History/Background:
-Pre Ranger-
Lume had a difficult childhood. He was the offspring of an infidelity. His father was an absent kind of guy. His half-sister treated him like garbage; surely blaming him for the destruction of her family. But his mother was wonderful, loving, caring. He lived for his mother's affections. When he turned fourteen, on the day of his birthday, his parents died in a car crash, and his sister became his legal guardian.
He lived with his sister for three years, going to school, babysitting a neighbor boy (Andymy) and his tiny little niece (Rori). He had his first boyfriend at seventeen and his sister had a complete shit fit about it as it conflicted with the traditional values of her religion. She got the neighborhood and her fellows at the police department involved. It wasn't long til said boyfriend bailed. Regardless his sister kept him under constant watch.
One day he saw an opening, while babysitting his niece. He took her next door and left her with the now old enough to be left home alone, Andymy. He grabbed his backpack and stuffed it with what little he had that was actually his. He left his sister's house and never looked back.
Five years, and thirty-eight cities later he made a wish on a star from a rooftop of a crappy apartment complex. "I wish that I was free..." Thinking back to the oppression he had felt in his sister's home, the constant desperation of his life on the run. The several brushes with the law that would have revealed his location. Twenty-two years old and he was still running. He stepped to the ledge...
And stepped off...
A bright light stunned him. When his vision cleared he and several others (the Orphan Dreamers) were sitting on white powdered dirt, staring up at the Earth in the night sky. Lume met Andymy again and the kid won his heart.
-Orphan Dreamers-
The Orphan Dreamers had grand adventures in the depths of space and defended the earth from a great evil. It was during this time that Lume became separated from the team for a month, captured by the enemy and locked away. The solitude weakened him, and he began to succumb to his karma. Being imprisoned and occasionally tortured caused his Star Soul to stir.
He was later rescued by the other Orphan Dreamers and went on to defeat said enemy and discovered the Star of Beginnings. Gustavo, the Pink Ranger began to talk about using it's power to create new rangers and find more Grand Star Souls. The debate was heated. Some said that Rangers should be born naturally. Some said that to create and army was likely to invite ever more dangerous enemies. Some said that it was necessary to create a defense force after what they had seen out here in the far reaches.
Than a few months later the the leader of their team, their Red Ranger was killed and Gustavo, who was her Husband stole the Star of Beginnings and fled to Earth to put his plans into motion.
-Karma Thesis-
The Orphans Dreamers chased the rogue Gustavo back to Earth and proceeded to try to interrupt his plans. Lume made many new friends, and went on many missions for the mysterious Hans Corporation, but something was wrong. Lume would have black outs. They started before he returned to Earth with the others. He kept it to himself, not wanting to burden anyone with silly paranoid ideas about the strange whispers in his head. It took another two years to track Gustavo down and confront him. Gustavo revealed his own motivations and the knowledge triggered something deep within Lume.
-Ranger War-
The Liberator took over Lume when it was revealed that it was Lume/Liberator that had killed the Leader of the Orphan Dreamers and that Gustavo's main goal was to find the Star of Endings so that he could destroy the Liberator and Lume.
The Star Liberator awoke. The Soul of the Star of Freedom. Lume was overcome by the sheer purity of the soul and went dormant within, trapped and doomed to watch as he ransacked the countryside chasing after Gustavo and fighting mass numbers of fellow rangers and Gustavo's Candy Nurses, severely injuring friend and foe alike. He took down a jet liner, (thankfully of which other rangers managed to rescue the passengers) caused multiple Rangers to go berserk by partially awakening their Star Souls and left a trail of destruction across three states in what would later be called the Ranger War.
The Liberator was defeated and those with him still at the end of the battle were Andymy, Francine, Santiago & Alice. It was these three that, with the aid of Hans, hid his unconscious body away to save his life from possible reprisals, and to lock him up until they knew for certain the Liberator was gone.
-Aftermath-
Lume spent a year inside Hans' HQ deep in an underground containment unit while he learned how to build up walls around the remnants of the Liberator left inside. Visited often by Andymy and a few select Rangers that knew he was still alive. Which was likely the only reason his Karma didn't take hold over him. All the while the Liberator continued to whisper. Whispering about the coming...
And then the Rifts appeared. Loosing Fallen Stars into the world. Lume broke out of containment and joined the fight against the Fallen Star in Charge of this group: Big Shot. Using the remnant powers of the Liberator without being able to transform like he used to.
Lume went home with Andymy and they lived comfortably for a year. Lume remaining a hermit in their apartment. Lume and Andymy began to fight about his seclusion, and Andymy misspoke in anger. "You might as well have died back then!" trying to make a point. However Lume took it as him saying he wished he had died, that he didn't love him anymore.
So when the Liberator started whispering again, Lume listened. The Star Collector was coming...
-Omega-
Lume held off Iris the Star collector by fully accepting the Star Liberator within him, both of an equal mind on keeping the stars free from her clutches. However Liberator and Collector are adverse to each other. Unable to defeat their polar opposites in head on conflict.
It wasn't until the conclusion of the Omega Tournament that Iris got the better of him and slapped him down to the moon surface. When he stood to fight again Alice and the power of the Omega Star, The Star of Endings that Gustavo so coveted, reached out to Iris and pulled her away from the control of the Star Collector, successfully ending the Conflict.
Unable to face Andymy again after letting the Liberator in, Lume went with Alice and Iris into the depths of space.
-Calm-
Lume spent two years Training Iris, and Alice, on how to build up their walls and harmonize with their Star Souls. Lume and Iris were constant companions sharing their guilt and lifting each other up. Iris had a lot more on her plate but Lume was someone who was able to understand the darkness and horrible actions she had committed in her past. Alice kept everyone's spirits up and when Lume decided he needed to go back to Earth and try to mend some old wounds and relationships she took Iris' hand and smiled, calming the woman.
As far as Lume knows the duo are still out there in their outer home. Alice hadn't returned to her Dimension because of her worry and care for Iris and Iris had no home to return to.
-Whispers-
Lume has returned to earth again. Sailing freely through the skies of earth again. Having come to harmony with the Liberator inside he finds himself happy and has been wandering around earth learning new things, and starting a small independent clothing store online.
He hasn't made contact with any of the rangers yet, except for Robin who now runs Hans' company, updating the databases on current events in the universe including the seeming betrayal of Vedran, the current status of Iris and Alice, and more.
-Catching Stars-
Lume runs into Felix in Saudi Arabia where their two missions from the Hans Corporation collide. Felix outright tries to kill Lume, abandoning his mission. He never forgave Lume for blowing him up during the Ranger War. Lume manages to escape and later finds out that Felix has gone missing.
Lume reveals himself to Christine and they manage to mend their friendship. She is the one who reveals to the others, including Claire, Rori, Jun, Andymy, Diana and the other members of the Catching Stars Teams that he is alive and has returned at her early Christmas party.
Via Christine Lume has set up a meeting with Andymy.
